Chutneys are made from a variety of herbs, fruits and vegetables. Contrary to popular perception, chutneys are not always spicy preparations; they may be sweet, sour, savory, spicy .... Chutneys are served as accompaniments with starters & main dishes. In Indian cooking, chutneys are usually made fresh.

Pickles are generally made in advance and preserved for longer use. In India, pickles are usually preserved in oil instead of preservative chemicals. They are served with main meal to enhance the taste.

Pudine ki Chutney -Mint is an exclusive perennial herb. The chutney made with Mint(pudina) and raw mango (kachcha aam) is not only delicious but healthy, as mint is a very good digestive and raw mangoes are good source of vitamin A & C.

Til ki Chutney Til ki Chutney -This is a delicious and traditional recipe for til ki chutney.This is a Maharashtrian delicacy, served with plain rice and always topped with pure ghee. This is a very spicy preparation.
tamarindchutney Tamarind Chutney-This is a delicious and traditional recipe for tamarind chutney. This chutney goes with all sort of chaat preparations.  I have added some dates in this chutney to make it healthier by cutting the amount of sugar. If you don't eat dates in that case you can replace them by increasing the amount of sugar/jaggery.

coconut chutney

Coconut Chutney- coconut chutney is a South Indian variety of chutney. This delicious chutney is made with coconut, peanuts (groundnuts) and flavored with green chili, coriander leaves. It is seasoned with mustard seeds and curry leaves. It best goes with idly, dosa, uthappam, upma, etc.

Galka- Galka is a traditional North Indian mango pickle. I remember when I was a little girl my grandmother used to make this pickle. Her mango pickle used to get ready in 10 days - it used to take a long time, since she used to keep it in the sunlight for 10 days. This recipe is a modified version of my grandmothers pickle recipe and gets ready in 15 minutes.
